The Lickstein Plastic Surgery Med Spa is Officially Open!

The new Lickstein Plastic Surgery MedSpa makes my little beauty educator self want to jump up and down and scream in excitement like a kid in a candy store!

On October 7th, The Lickstein Plastic Surgery practice had the official Grand Opening and a Virtual Open House to show everyone all the new and exciting treatments and technologies they have to offer right in the heart of Downtown at The Gardens. The new Med Spa is like a wonderland for beauty lovers, with every room being more exciting than the next, featuring all the latest and greatest in beauty technologies in one place, leaving me trying to decide what to do first!

The virtual open house featured the gorgeous and tranquil environment that has been perfectly curated to give patients the best in beauty and the most enjoyable and relaxing experience. The moment you walk through the door, you will be greeted by their lovely staff and the incredibly talented medical team.

I was honored to participate in the LPS Virtual Open House as a patient representative and to be able to share everything and everyone that the new Med Spa has to offer.

The evening started with a ribbon-cutting surrounded by the entire LPS team and a warm welcome by Lisa Lickstein. Next, Dr. Lickstein and Clinical Director Christina Hobgood Naugle welcomed everyone to the new Med Spa. Viewers were then introduced to Dr. Lickstein, Dr. Forleiter, and surgical coordinator Lisa Londy who shared exciting information about the practice before viewers were guided through the beautiful new facility.

We started our tour experience meeting Christina Hobgood Naugle, PA-C Clinical Director and one of the top 100 Best Aesthetic Injectors in America, in 2021. Christina explained how the Lickstein Plastic Surgery practitioners provide annual rejuvenation consultations to help patients plan their beauty investments for the upcoming year. This yearly visit is a helpful service that allows patients to discuss their goals and concerns and create a customized plan to achieve those goals, including the signature Lickstein Lift.

Christina also shared the new Med Spa's laser services, including my personal favorite, the Halo, and more specifically, the exciting and effective combo of the Halo and BBL laser. The Lickstein Plastic Surgery practice has perfected this process. While Christina gave us a glimpse into what you can expect when you have this service, I can tell you from personal experience that this laser not only gives you radiant, glowing, beautiful skin that looks like you have a filter permanently on your face, the lengths they go to for their clients to feel comfortable and achieve the best results possible far exceeds the laser experience you will have anywhere else.

This dynamic duo explained all the fascinating facial treatments that the Med Spa has to offer, such as the HydraFacial, Salt Facial, Diamond Glow Facial, Vivace Micro-needling, and even Keravive scalp treatments to cleanse, nourish, and hydrate your scalp for healthier, fuller hair and hair rejuvenation.

Each of these facials is so special, and these ladies will help you determine the right plan for your specific skin type and skincare needs. These facials can be used alone or in conjunction with lasers and injectables to get you looking and feeling like your best and most beautiful self. They have a wealth of knowledge, and the best part about all of this is that not only will you leave with beautiful skin, but you are also taking care of yourself in another way by giving yourself the gift of time to relax and be pampered.

Next, we visited Leah Verdream PA-C in one of the injection rooms, where she explained the various neurotoxins available to patients. Leah is a board-certified and licensed Physician Assistant with over a decade of clinical experience. While Leah focused on teaching us about all the different neurotoxin options available during the virtual open house, she focuses on aesthetic rejuvenation with filler and lasers as well for her patients. In addition, Leah uses her superior assessment skills to help patients develop a customized treatment plan to address their rejuvenation goals.

Leah explained the many neurotoxin options that Lickstein Plastic Surgery Med Spa offers, such as Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin. She gave us a quick rundown of the benefits and differences of each. She also shared what neurotoxins are used to treat such as, forehead wrinkle and lines, frown lines, the dreaded "11's", horizontal lines across the bridge of the nose (bunny lines), crows feet (because who wants feet on their face?) and, drooping in the brow line.

Following learning about all the Neurotoxin options, we met with Shayna Fasanella, PA-C, to discuss all things fillers. Shayna is a board-certified and licensed Physician Assistant with a passion for cosmetic treatments. Shayna focused her studies on skin health and suturing, and she now shares her talent and expertise with her patients with customized non-surgical options combining artistry and science.

Shayna taught us all about dermal fillers and the various filler options and areas of the face filler is used to treat. If neurotoxins help to temporarily remove or reduce wrinkles, fillers help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and folds, restore volume and fullness, enhance features, and overall plump and lift the face.

Lickstein Plastic Surgery offers Juvéderm and Restylane products, as well as Sculptra, RHA, Radiesse, and Belotaro. Dermal Fillers can treat the upper face and fill in hollow areas, the lower face to stimulate collagen production and fill in depressed areas, under the eyes, in the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and enhance the jawline.

The last stop on our tour was to the Lash and Permanent Makeup room. Here I was joined by Karen Nova Lash Artist Extraordinaire; with 20 years of experience, she will give you the lush lashes that we all desire! The best part, after a single 2-hour initial appointment, you'll only have to visit her every three weeks to keep your lashes looking long and luscious.

Unfortunately, the resident permanent makeup artist was unable to join us for the virtual open house. She will have your brows and lips looking picture-perfect morning, noon, and night - rain or shine.

She suggests bringing in a visual goal (picture) and having your makeup done the way you would like your permanent makeup to look when coming in for your consultation. She will then assess your facial structure and features to develop a mutually agreed-upon shape and map to give you the brows and/or lip coloring of your dreams!

On my way out, I had the absolute pleasure of being introduced to the best massage therapist in town, Todd Saunders.
